Hi There! My name is Dawn, and I live in Hamilton, Ontario. I am a single mother of a teenager ... It has it good days and its bad lol I work in retail and on my time off I enjoy knitting, baking, reading, watching movies and reality tv. A prefect day off to me is watching movies with my knitting in hand.
About The Blog:
Why did I decide to start a knitting blog? Well I am glad you asked. I recently became a knitter and I love it! I would browse though Pinterest and see all these amazing knitted items and think, I want to make those! I bought some needles and yarn, came back home and searched for something to make. I remember when I was young sitting with my mother knitting with these plastic needles. Now I can't remember why I stopped or even anything that I actually made. It was more then likely just blankets for my dolls. lol But for the life of me I couldn't remember how to start. So I started searching the net to find some simple tutorials and easy patterns to make. There is so many videos and so many patterns, it quickly became a little overwhelming and confusing. I was saving everything I found in my bookmarks so I would remember where they were, until I was even confused looking through them. So I decided I am going to start a knitting blog. Somewhere I can store all the things I find as well as maybe help out a fellow knitter or two.
In this blog you will find how to videos, tips and tricks when it comes to knitting, as well as free patterns or anything else related to knitting I think may be interesting. My goal is to help other people who are learning to knit and maybe even inspire some knitting veterans. One day I hope to write my own patterns as well.
I will do my best to respond to help requests when it comes to something you read on my blog or one of my patterns when the time comes.
If you have a knitting topic you would like to see on here, feel free to contact me and I will see what I can do. But please note there are no promises it will be covered but I can look into it for you.

I just recently got back into sewing and hope to have an Etsy shop opening very soon! So I have changed the name to CraftyMomma so I can share more then just knitting. I will be adding some sewing ideas and projects as well as sharing in my sewing adventures and maybe a little bit of baking as well.
