The Stockinette Stitch
There are so many different stitch patterns you can make with using the 2 basic stitches the knit stitch and the purl stitch. We decided to bring to you a new stitch every Friday.
Today's Stitch of the week is The Stockinette Stitch.
This is one of most common stitches in knitting. It is made of alternating rows with the knit and the purl stitch. All the knit stitches will be on one side and the purl stitches on the other. If you do not know how to knit the Knit stitch check out the post here and the Purl Stitch here. The stockinette stitch tends to roll up on the edges so you may need to create a garter stitch along the edge so it will lay flat unless your pattern calls for the edges to roll.
This knitting tutorial was brought to you by Studio Knit. Stop by and watch more of their videos on their YouTube channel by Clicking Here.
